We are so excited to officially launch our first ever range of biodegradable retail tubs Available in 125ml impulse and 500ml take-home sizes, available to order now. The completely biodegradable tubs were designed with the help of the fantastic team at Ark Creative, who also developed the revamped new logo in 2018. The 125ml tubs include a handy spoon under the lid and are colour coded for easy storing and serving. The 500ml tubs come with an eye-catching outer sleeve, referencing our traditional ice cream barrows. For trade customers wishing to take a look at the new tubs before they order, samples are available on request. Ronaldo Ices has had a little revamp over the past year, with a great new logo cleverly reworked by the team at Ark Design, and a whole host of new point of sale items to go with it. The new point of sale focuses on our Real Norfolk credentials and uses real, untouched photography of our delicious and vibrant ice cream flavours. Since early spring we have been working through our new and existing kiosks, cafes and store owners getting them up to date with the new look. So far, the feedback has been fantastic. The point of sale isn’t the only thing that’s had our attention this year – we have also been working on brand new packaging and a revamped flavour menu for our retail and impulse ranges. The ranges will be slightly smaller, but the flavours that have made it through to the final list are all 100% delicious – we promise! The new designs, also produced by the team at Ark, are looking amazing and will use 100% biodegradable materials. Production manager Chris Edye says, “The new packaging is looking great, and the fact that it is so eco-conscious is a big bonus for us and our customers too. It’s a win-win for everyone involved – retailers want a great product that looks good and is environmentally friendly, and we can deliver that with our new range.” The new packaging will be available in early 2019 and features a bold red design, complemented by the accompanying point of sale. Ronaldo Ices hit local TV screens this month speaking out about the dramatic increase in the cost of Vanilla. The Norwich based factory was visited by the ITV News team where owners Chris and Simon were interviewed on the subject. At its peak, the cost of Madagascan vanilla has increased by 100% in two years. The increase in cost has come as a result of a cyclone in Madagascar destroying crops of the Vanilla bean. The devastation of these crops has created a shortage of the flavour much loved by the ice cream buying public. While vanilla has a very distinctive taste it is often favoured for its ability to complement a wide variety of desserts. In fact, at Ronaldo we sell over 50% more vanilla than we do other flavours. In the news coverage, which was aired on local TV channel ITV earlier this month, there are suggestions that some ice cream manufacturers will be replacing their vanilla with ‘plain’ or ‘white’ ice cream to help cut costs. At Ronaldo, we adore real vanilla and have no plans to follow suit. Of course, we couldn’t resist the opportunity to talk about the delicious alternatives to vanilla ice cream, including our famous Norfolk Strawberry. Ronaldo Ices has made the local news this week thanks to a dedicated team, extreme weather and the EDP! The local newspaper got in touch after hearing about the fantastic staff at Ronaldo’s ‘snowing’ the extra mile for a valued customer. ‘The Beast from the East’ has affected many businesses and schools here in Norfolk and all over the UK, but despite this ice cream makers Tom, Gareth and Richard braved the weather and trudged their way to our factory here in Norwich to make sure the ice cream machine kept on churning. As well as manning the phones and checking the factory was in order, the three made sure the Assembly House in Norwich got their delivery of our very special Champagne Sorbet on time as promised. We are excited to reveal that we have teamed up with Deliveroo to provide an ice cream home delivery service. Order from a mouthwatering selection of our high quality locally produced ice creams direct from our factory to your front door! The service will be available Monday to Friday from 12pm – 5pm. 2ltr tubs and 5ltr tubs are available. We can even deliver ice cream to your workplace or office, making you the hero or the envy of all your work mates! From Thursday, 9th June 2016 our ice creams and sorbets will be available to order via Deliveroo. Ice cream home delivery, in a few clicks! Try Chocolate Fudge Brownie, Mint Choc Chip, Stem Ginger or Salted Caramel plus many more. Our local fruit ice creams that you know and love are there, including Norfolk Strawberry, Raspberry and Gooseberry.
